by ML Gadian
San Jose, Antique (12 August) -- Antique Governor and RDC Chair Salvacion C. Perez said in her weekly radio program over a local station that she is pushing for inter-provincial cultural exchange.
The idea is to open doors for provinces to visit other provinces and showcased their arts and culture. In so doing, people will have a glimpse of the important historical events and rich cultural heritage of a certain place and in the process be enriched by it.
Perez is elated on the successful presentation of the "Paranubli-on Antique" in various places in the country that made Layas Antiqueños nostalgic of their home province and towns.
Likewise, the songs composed and sung by SB Dante Beriong made many eyes misty making the longing to come home more intense.
Paranubli-on Antique has been to places like Davao City, Iloilo City and Wow Philippines. By end of August they will visit Northern Cotabato upon invitation of Gov. Manny Piñol where on the occasion of their Foundation Day an "Antique Day" has been declared. Of course , Antiqueños are all-around Mindanao and in fact made good not only as local chief executives but successful businessmen as well.
Gov. Perez who is a patroness of arts and culture gave all out support to Paranubli-on because she believes that if politics can't unite people, then culture and arts will. (PIA) [top]
