GMA impeachment should find resolve - Bunye
Tacloban City (29 August) -- The impeachment complaint AGAINST President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo must be resolved the soonest possible time lest the country face disaster. This was the message conveyed recently by Presidential Spokesman Ignacio Bunye.
Bunye added that the longer the political crisis lasts as brought about by the impeachment complaint, the deeper hurt there is to the public. Add to this is the rising prices of oil and other petroleum products and the country's debt payments and its interests. All these place a heavy strain on our resources and again the public is the hardest hit.
For the nation to survive this economic crisis, Bunye urges national leaders regardless of party affiliation to take on the same boat and to steer the same forward instead of pulling the same boat on different directions.
According to the Malacaņang Spokesman, we must work hard together to sustain affordable food, medicine and educational needs of every Filipino family. Doing this on a more unified effort can entice more foreign donors to place more trust and confidence on each of our own individual capacity to get involved in overcoming crisis that beset the nation today.
Only when we shall take one common stand can we keep our fiscal house in order, Bunye added. The time to act is now. (PIA Borongan) [top]
