Southern Leyte welcomes new PNP director

Southern Leyte (29 September) -- Outgoing Officier In Charge Police Superintendent Jaime S. Yamba turned over the reign at Southern Leyte Provincial Police Office (SLPPO) to incoming Police Senior Superintendent Prudencio Ancheta DeLa Cruz at Camp Governor Alfredo K. Bantug, Maasin City in the presence of the chiefs of police in 18 municipalities and the City of Maasin.
The traditional turn-over ceremony officially designated PSSupt DeLa Cruz to assume as the acting police provincial director in Southern Leyte effective September 26, 2006.

The newly designated acting provincial director is the 10th provincial police officer to led the Southern Leyte Provincial Police Office, Chief Directorial Staff PSSupt Arcadio Lelis. He said that at least four former provincial directors got their three stars already. That this command is the jumping board to get stars in the Philippine National Police. PSSupt. Lelis facilitated the turn-over of command.
While Regional Police Human Resource Development Division Chief PSupt. Nilo Donayre read the termination and designation orders during the turn-over ceremony.
Acting Provincial Director DeLa Cruz said his previous assignment as Officer In Charge of Police Provincial Office in Nueva Viscaya, Police Regional Office II.
DeLa Cruz in his message said he will lead the provincial command with a mixture of persuasive and authoritative leadership. As he emphasized further that he adhere to the principle to look always for the welfare of his men and always be an example for them in the performance of his command.
Governor Rosette Lerias, who was represented by Provincial Administrator Genis Murallos, put forth her message that she look forward to work with the newly designated police provincial director in the campaign against all forms of illegal activities be continued to pursue relentlessly.
