The Korean language test is the first ever to be conducted in Davao (outside of Metro Manila) with slots of l,400 - l,500 males and only 100 females for Mindanao region.

Registration for Korean language test will entail a payment of Pl,500 or equivalent to $30 with the bank. Before going to accredited banks, registered applicant should first report to POEA Mindanao field office to get the Order of Payment with accredited numbers which should be presented to the bank.

The $30 payment per applicant will be paid to the International Korean Language federation that officially conducts the Korean language tests slated on October 29, 2006 (Sunday) at 2:00 - 3:30pm simultaneous throughout the country - in Manila, Cebu and Davao City.

For those registrants between October 4 to 13 are only those who were able to apply for Korean under the employment permit system with POEA Mindanao field office before. Those whose names are not enlisted with POEA cannot be registered for the Korean language tests.

POEA registered applicants for KOREA are requested to report to POEA to fill up necessary forms and get important documents that should be presented during the Korean language examination.

For those who are below 39 years old can still have the chance to take the Korean language tests but for those born before October 30, 1968 are not qualified because their ages will be more than 39 at the time of the examination.

For passers, their names will be immediately submitted to the Department of Labor in Korean for the employers to select from among the passers.

For more details and queries, call 297-7428; 297-7429; 297-7640; or 297-7650 and ask for Rey or Ivy or any POEA personnel.

Job Placement is in line with the President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's agenda of providing employment especially for jobseekers aiming to work abroad, Domingo said. (PIA-XI) [top]
