NVizcaya revives 4 o’clock habit to fight dengue
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (16 October) -- The provincial government here has revived the implementation of its 4 o’clock habit designed to fight the dreaded dengue disease in the province.
In an order, lawyer Epifanio Galima, provincial administrator said the 4 o’clock habit program was revived to encourage government employees within the capitol to conduct cleaning not only within their respective offices but also in adjacent areas at 4:00 p.m. every Fridays.
Known as “Four o’clock Cleaning Habit”, the order was issued in response to the rising cases of dengue in the province which alarmed local health officials here.
“The order was issued to prevent a possible outbreak of dengue and other insect-borne diseases that may arise from unsanitary conditions in and around the provincial capitol compound,” he said.
Galima has directed the provincial general services office here to monitor the various government office’s compliance with the order. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
