NVizcaya gov vows to give fund assistance to senior citizens
BAYOMBONG, NuevaVizcaya (13 November) -- Governor Luisa Cuaresma here has vowed to provide fund assistance for senior citizens in he province to start their livelihood programs.
Cuaresma promised the amount which will be given to the towns of Bayombong and Villaverde during the celebration of this year's Elderly Filipino Week last month with the theme; "Nakatatanda: Kaagapay sa Pagkakaisa at Kapayapaan" will be handed as soon as livelihood project proposals of the towns' elderly chapters are submitted.
Lolita Sebbey, provincial social welfare and development officer said their office are currently assisting elderly chapters in the province in crafting their own livelihood projects to be given funds from the provincial government and the national government as well.
The livelihood projects, Sebbey said intends to promote self - employment and livelihood generation among the elderlies. (PIA-NVizcaya) [top]
