Interagency environment committee to discuss Aerial spraying

Davao City (28 November) -- Unfinished discussions particularly on the conduct of aerial spraying in banana plantations, together with issues on health and environment, are to be scheduled for lengthy discussions in a meeting set by the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Environmental Health (RIACEH) of the Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development Davao region, on November 29, 2006 at the NAMRU conference room, DOH compound, Davao City to start at exactly 1 p.m.
DOH XI Director Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial said aerial spraying on banana plantations has been one of the sensitive issues being discussed by all sectors while the City Council and all other concerned agencies in government and private sector have been trying to find out means on how to resolve it.
DOH is also trying to augment necessary data and information in reference to aerial spraying on banana plantations for guidance in making resolutions.
RIACEH stakeholders and member agencies are requested to attend the meeting and submit their individual reports necessary for further discussion particularly on aerial spraying. (PIA- XI) [top]
