Feature: Music after the Holidays

by Judith Solomon

Davao City (17 January) -- Despite the end of the Holiday seasons, SM City Davao has continued to entertain their customers through a musical show held at the SM Entertainment Plaza last January 13 and 14. Music Authority and Acousticwise were the bands that played during the weekend musical shows.

Mae Princess Tindoy, the organizer of the musical event said that they planned a musical show to further cater to their customers. "Since tapos na ang Christmas rush, people prefer to stay at home and relax. So, we wanted our customers to feel relaxed with the soothing sound of our featured bands and for them to be enticed to visit the mall and go shopping".

"Maayo man na nga SM though of having a musical show to entertain their shoppers. Isa pud ni ka-channel to expose local bands like us. At least, maappreciate pud sa mga tao ang among mga music (the people can appreciate our music) at the same time maka-laag pud sila sa SM (they can stroll around SM)," a musician in the SM event said.

SM Davao will be having a series of events for January and for the coming months to further entertain their customers. As they get profit from their shoppers, they reciprocate comfort and satisfaction through different activities and shows.

Indeed, it was a fruitful weekend. The musical show did not only entertain their shoppers but at the same time it became an outlet in supporting Davao independent bands that are continuously working to uplift the local music industry. (PIA ADDU) [top]
