Cotabato mayor appeals for vigilance
COTABATO CITY (25 April) -- City Mayor Datu Muslimin G. Sema asks residents of the city to be vigilant in their day to day affair and report to the proper authorities any person (s) whom they believe may do lawlessness and sow panic here.
In an interview Monday morning, the City Chief Executive was apparently referring to the latest explosion that took place in the city last week.
The blast took the lives of two persons whom authorities believed carrying the grenade and whose bodies where blown into pieces.
"Let us not allow this incident to make us worry anf affect our lives adversely. This incidence is a handiwork of people who are not God-fearing."
"If their motive is to disrupt the conduct of the forthcoming May 14 elections, I belived they will not succeed because the peace-loving people of Cotabato city with the help of the PNP and AFP will not allow this to happen," Sema emphatically said. (MCD/PIA 12) [top]
