Asian Spirit inaugurates Zamboanga-Sandakan route
Zamboanga City (May 7) -- In support to enhancing traffic movement within Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-the Philippines, East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), Asian Spirit, a Philippine-registered airline company, will start flying the Zamboanga-Sandakan route effective May 7, 2007 on twice a week service for the first two weeks and will consequently be increased to thrice a week flight on the third week of May.
Zamboanga City Mayor Celso Lobregat, National Economic Development Authority-IX, Dir. Rafael Evangelista, Atty. Jose Batausa of Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Dir. Nazrullah Manzur are expected to grace the occasion.
The Asian Spirit schedules a Monday, Wednesday, Friday flights for the Zamboanga-Sandakan route.
The airline has started flying Zamboanga-Jolo last May 1 and Zamboanga-Tawi-Tawi, May 2.
Asian Spirit flies from Zamboanga to Jolo on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and TTS lights from Zamboanga to Tawi-Tawi every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
