As the administration has been calling for a united effort in pushing for a Strong Republic, Davao City 2nd district representative Vincent Garcia also called on his barangay leaders and his constituents in his own district to organize themselves for the development of their respective communities as he supports every effort for the good of the people.

Accomplishments have been made under the pillars of the President’s anti-poverty campaign’ an economic philosophy of free enterprise; a modernized agricultural sector, founded on social equity; balance economic development; and good governance to build confidence in the nation and channel resources for the poor sector.

Under the poverty alleviation program of the administration, Congressman Garcia said he will continue on building up what he has established Botika sa Barangays to provide essential and affordable medicines for the barangay people and access on education by providing scholarships for the needy and talented students.

On the part of Congress, Congressman Garcia said we will continue to promote policies which will sustain economic growth surge that will generate more jobs and reduce poverty.

We will find ways for the Lower House to work together to further improve investment climate, hike revenue collections, manage expenditures effectively, contain the deficit, step up governance reforms, invest in social services and build a political environment that supports high growth, he said.

While the administration promised to upgrade public infrastructure as well as improve social services using extra revenues from tax reforms, Congressman Garcia said that his district will also make headway in the delivery of the essential services to benefit my constituents.
