Cebuano News: Mga scholars ubos sa LEP ni PGMA

Manila (13 August) -- Ang Ladderized Education Program (LEP) scholarships mahimong available usab pinaagi sa complementing program nga gitawag ug President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo-Training for Work Scholarship Program (PGMA-TWSP).

Ang maong programa adunay dako nga budget nga nagkantidad ug P1.06 billion, usa ka proyba nga ang gobyerno seryoso ug sinsero sa pag supply sa gikinahanglan nga manpower alang sa in-demand nga mga industriya. Ang mga high school graduates ug bisan kadtong nag panauigon na ug 55 anyos nga adunay hustong aptitude ug gusto pang mahibawo pwede pang moapil sa maong scholarship program.

Sa pagka-karon, aduna na'y 127,885 PGMA-TWSP scholarships nga gi-panghatag sa tibuok nasud. Sa maong gidaghanon, 47,824 ang naka gradwar na sa short courses nga nagkinahanglan ug critical skills sama sa Information and Communication Technology (call center agents, medical transcriptionists, legal transcriptionists, animators, software developers), Metals and Engineering (shielded and gas metal arc welders), Agri-business (slaughters and butchers), Construction (heavy equipment operators), Aviation and Transportation (aircraft maintenance technicians). Hotel and Restaurant (baristas, cooks), Health and Scial Services (household service workers, massage therapists, biomedical equipment technicians, caregivers), ug Medical Tourism and Wellness (spa therapists). Mokabat na sa 16,000 nga ning gradwar sa PGMA-TWSP ang sa gilayon nakabiling ug trabaho, nga mao'y tubag sa dili pagkatugma sa natapos nga kurso ug sa trabaho nga mao'y sagad mahitabo karong panahona.
