Catbalogan City joins Civil Service Commission 107th anniversary celebration

Catbalogan City (September 3) -- The local government unit of Catbalogan City with the Samar Provincial Council of Personnel Officers will join the whole nation in its commemoration of the Civil Service Commission (CSC)107th anniversary in a kick-off ceremony on September 3, 2007.
Based on CSC Memorandum Circular No. 15 series of 2007, all heads of constitutional bodies, departments, bureaus and agencies in the national government; local government units, government-owned or controlled corporations; and state universities and colleges are mandated to support the Philippines Civil Service 107th anniversary celebration.
Rev. Fr. Bartolome Dumalag will celebrate a Thanksgiving Mass.
After the mass, city employees will hold a commemorative program highlighting the message of the CSC Chairperson Karina Constantino -David to be read by the CSC Provincial Director Gerardo Cordero.
Other activities planned by the LGU include sports activities and Linis Bayan.
Meanwhile, MC 15 stated that the culmination of the seven-month long search for Outstanding Government Officials and Employees will be recognized during the Award Rites for the 2007 Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Dangal ng Bayan and CSC Pag-Asa Awards: Parangal……Pasasalamat on September 19 at the Cultural center of the Philippines.
The Samar provincial government will also hold the commemoration on September 19, according to Director Cordero. He told PIA that Governor Milagrosa Tan has expressed willingness to hold a separate program for the provincial employees.
To foster awareness on the Civil Service month, Cordero with the Samar Provincial Council of Personnel Officers will meet the local media in two presscons to be held on September 5, at Aksyon Radyo Catbalogan City and Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS) Radyo ng Bayan DYOG, Calbayog City on September 18, 2007.
