PNP opens 17 slots for Nueva Vizcaya police applicants

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 24) -- Police officials here have encouraged willing Novo Vizcayanos here who are willing to enter the police force to file their applications at the Police Provincial Office here.

This developed as at least 17 slots have been given by the Philippine National Police(PNP) in the province for this year for applicants willing to enter the police force, police officials here said.

Sr. Supt. Segundo Duran, police provincial director said the slots are part of the PNP's attrition quota nationwide to replace retired policemen.

He said the applicants, once they have completed the police training will be deployed in their respective municipalities.

"Definitely, this is the announcement of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to recruit new policemen due to depleted number police officers in the country," Duran told PIA.

Duran said applicants should submit their requirements this October to enable them to undergo medical as well as pre-examination orientation procedures.

The general qualifications are Filipino Citizen, Good Moral Character, Police Service Eligibility, College Graduate(Baccalaureate Degree Holder), At least 1.62 meters in height for male and 1.57 meters for female, Not less than 21 years old nor more than 30 years of age, Good Physical/Psychological condition, Must not have been Dishonorably Discharged from Military Employment or Dismissed for Cause from any civilian position in the government, Not more or less than Five Kgs. of the standard Weight Corresponding to Height and Age and Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude.

The documentary requirements are as follows: duly accomplished CSC Form 211, Birth Certificate Authenticated by NSO, Reports of Rating of Eligibility Authenticated by the Issuing Authority, Two(2) pieces 2"x2" Black and White Background indicating applicant's name, Transcript of Scholastic Records and Diploma Duly Authenticated by the School Registrar, Clearance from the Barangay, Local Police Station, RC/MTC and NBI and Medical Certificate Issued by the Local Health Officer.

Duran said the applicants will be trained at the Regional Police Command in Tuguegarao City and the Regional Training Center in Isabela province.
