PRC bares Davao new location

Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) XI Director Josephine Villegas-Liamzon announced that they have transferred their office now located at 2nd floor, Granland Business Center, R. Castillo Street, Davao City with telephone numbers 234-0006 and 234-0007; and Fax number 234-0008.

In an official communication addressed to Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Assistant Director-General for Mindanao cluster Efren F, Elbanbuena, Director Villegas-Liamzon stated that PRC regional office has successfully fulfilled its mission in bringing PRC's services closer to its clients in Southern Mindanao.

Since the start of its operation in 1997, there has been a remarkable increase in PRCs clients as reflected in the increase of frontline transactions processed from 76,054 in 1997 to 146,124 in 2006, bringing a total of 890,000 transactions processed in ten years.

To date, at least 200 licensure examinations for the various professions have been successfully conducted by PRC-Davao region serving approximately 271,000 examinees from regions 11, 12, 13 and ARMM.

"As a dynamic response to the needs of the growing number of clientele, we are pleased to inform you that starting October 1, 2007, we will be officially conducting business in our new and much bigger office at the stated address," the letter stated.

"Our continuous collaboration is vital to carry on with our firm commitment to develop a corps of competent Filipino professionals through the effective regulation of 43 professions under PRC's jurisdiction," Director Villegas-Liamzon stated in her letter. (PIA) [top]
