Bacolod inaugurates Bayanihan Center in dump site

Bacolod City (5 October) -- Members of the Bacolod City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) will inaugurate today the Eco-aid (scavengers) Bayanihan Center at the dumpsite in Brgy. Felisa.

DILG City Director Asuga said the CPOC will also hold a special meeting in the area with eco-aids group to discuss programs the council has come up with in collaboration with the members.

About 100 eco-aid will benefit from the Bayanihan Center that will serve as their resting place. The council has encouraged them to practice safe and hygienic measures in their kind of work and is presently linking with the City Health Office and other institutions to assist eco-aids.

An "Aprotec" Demonstration on Paper Charcoal Making will be held at 8:30am and a mass will be held at 10:00am. (PIA-LOL) [top]
