Pampanga gov reveals 3-year agenda

San Fernando City, Pampanga (10 October) -- Pampanga Governor Eddie T. Panlilio recently presented the draft of his administration's three-year executive agenda for comments and suggestions by the public.

This gesture is in line with his call for a collective leadership, where not only his judgment but also that of the people will count.

The governor together with the heads of the provincial government's departments drafted the plan in a workshop held in Tagaytay City. The proposed agenda also took into consideration the draft proposed by the Regional Development Council (RDC) for the development of Pampanga for the next three years.

Included in the agenda are plans for the province's economic and social development. Panlilio said the proposed agenda which they drew up is the initial step in the construction of a provincial executive plan that will lay out the vision-mission and core values as well as set the direction of the executive work in the three years of the Panlilio governance.

"We are one family and as such we should have a collective decision on what we intend to achieve as a family. The province has a lot of potential and I believe that given the support of every member of this government, there is much we can do to push our province further."

The governor also said that "what we have achieved so far is proof of our sincere intentions to come up with clean and good governance". He expressed the confidence that a more systematic implementation of programs and projects through the executive agenda could do more to provide efficient and effective services to the people.

Copies of the executive agenda have been provided stakeholders from the various sectors - from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members to local government units, non-government organizations, church organizations, civil society groups, media and other concerned sectors of society.

Feedback portals are on standby to accept comments from the public and these shall be accepted until October 5.

Panlilio enjoins stakeholders to give their insights and inputs as part of their contribution to the drawing up of a final three-year plan for the province. (Pampanga PIO through PIA-Pampanga) [top]
