CES Board conducts strategic conversation with Region 8 administrators
Tacloban City (October 11) -- The Career Executive Service Board will conduct a Strategic Conversation with the officers and members of the Region Eight Administrators League on October 15, 2007.
Land Transportation Director Raul Aguilos who is also the president of REAL informed that the Strategic Conversation will be held at the MacArthur Park Beach Resort at 10:00 o'clock in the morning.
Director Aguilos said that the CESB Executive Director Ma. Anthonette V. Allones and Deputy Executive Director Atty. Art Lachica will arrive from Manila to attend this activity.
The Strategic Conversation hopes to discuss important issues and concerns affecting the career service, Director Aguilos revealed. He therefore, enjoins the members of the Region 8 Administrators League to attend the said activity.
It would be recalled that the Career Executive Service Board expressed grave concern on the institution of the CEO Rank System by the Civil Service Commission, through Resolution No. 690.
The Resolution stated that the promulgation by the Civil Service Commission of Resolution No. 062246 on the creation of the Career Executive Officer (CEO) Rank System caught the CESB by surprise and perceives the same as impinging on the powers and prerogatives of the CESB.
It avers that the CEO ranking system will again sow confusion and apprehensions in the bureaucracy as in fact, a number of incumbent CESOs are now asking whether the CEO rank will now supplant the CES ranking system.
Career Executive Service Board (CESB) was created under the Integrated Reorganization Plan (IRP), as approved under PD No.1 dated September 24, 1972, as amended, "to form a continuing pool of well-selected and development oriented career administrators who shall provide competent and faithful service" and to serve as the governing body of the Career Executive Service.
