Davao to host 6th Mindanao Cavaliers Cup Open Golf Tournament

Davao City (12 October) -- The preparation for the 6th Mindanao Cavaliers Cup Open Golf Tournament organized by Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated (PMAAAI) Eagle Fraternal Chapter is now in full gear, this was bared now by Ronald C. Go, Tournament Director.

PMAAAI Eagle is a fraternal chapter of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association based in Mindanao, composed of PMAyers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police from the rank of Generals to Lieutenant.

The Mindanao Cavaliers Cup started in 2002, which aims to raise the funds needed to create a Multi-Purpose Cooperative for the members of the alumni and to construct its permanent office to further support its medical & dental outreaches here in Mindanao.

An entry fee of P 1,800 inclusive of mulligan will be charged to the interested golfers. Part of the proceeds will also go to the families of the PMA Lieutenants who died in the recent hostilities in Basilan.

Attractive Tournament prizes also awaits to the lucky winners which includes the Hole-in-One PAL Round Trip Ticket (Davao-Manila-Hogkong-Manila-Davao) (1) Kawasaki Motorcycle, (1) Panasonic 21" Colored TV, (2) Taurus 9mm hand Guns, (1) Taurus Revolver.

In the event that nobody wins in the Hole-In-One, prizes will form part of the major raffles during the awards night.

The Cavaliers Cup Golf Tournament will be held at the Apo Golf and Country Club on October 13, 2007.

Everyone is invited to join this noble cause. The tournament will also further serve as a venue for camaraderie between men in uniform and counterparts in the civilian sector. (PIA-XI) [top]
