Daneco faces Kapalong SB on electric power concern

Kapalong, Davao del Norte (16 October) -- DANECO General Manager Edgardo Savellano faced Sangguniang Bayan Members of Kapalong to answer inquiries regarding electric power concern during the regular session on October 8, 2007 at the SB Session Hall, this town.
Vice Mayor Romy C. Estrada invited GM Savellano in the SB Session to answer and enlighten the local officials questions on several brownouts in Kapalong, the delayed processing of electric bill that leads to delayed payment of consumers, and comparative costs of electric bill between DANECO and Davao Light having almost the same electricity consumption.
GM Savellano explains and pointed out the reasons such as the cutting of tree branches near the electric mainline, damages of electric mainline posts during the onset of the rainy season and the overloading of electric transformers that resulted to several brownouts, and some technical errors resulted also to delayed process of electric billing.
SB Member Rowell Selim suggested to DANECO Officials to put-up a semi-sub station in the municipality for assistance in case of emergencies or disruption of electric power.
Vice Mayor Estrada added that DANECO should conduct a special assembly for member-consumers of Kapalong to properly disseminate information in relation to the rules and regulations of DANECO. (PIA XI) [top]
