Mayor pushes more infra projects for Kapalong

Davao City (16 October) -- Mayor Edgardo L. Timbol pushes more projects for Kapalong particularly in Poblacion Maniki allocating P4.39 million from the Supplemental Budget for infrastructure development.
"We will focus the development first in the Poblacion as it is the show window of the Municipality", Mayor Timbol said.
Projects lined-up for implementation are construction of a concrete fence for the public cemetery, road concreting along Poblacion streets, construction of a new transport terminal, construction of public market comfort room and concreting of vicinity pavement, and construction of municipal plaza comfort room.
Included in the development project is the solid waste management program. The repair and maintenance of canals and laterals, the purchase of garbage push carts, and garbage receptacles.
Other general public services structures for the Municipal Hall are the construction of ambulance garage and power house, construction of concrete ramp, improvement of flagpole, municipal compound road/pathway concreting, roofing of municipal hall concrete stairs, and repair and maintenance of street lights.
Mayor Timbol expects the completion of the project on December 2007 as he is moving on the development projects to the Barangays in 2008 prioritizing the basic services such as potable water and electricity. (MIO-Kapalong, Davao del Norte-PIA XI) [top]
