Sen. Honasan graces 6th nat'l confab of Guardians in Tacloban
Tacloban City (October 17) -- Senator Gregorio Honasan II is expected to grace the 6th National Convention of the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, Inc. which will be conducted on October 17 - 18 at the MacArthur Park Resort at Baras, Palo, Leyte.
This was learned from Colonel Nicandro Canaleja, director of the PNP Regional Crime Laboratory who is the Regional head of the Guardians.
Senator Honasan is expected to arrive in Tacloban in the morning of October 18. From the airport, he is scheduled to have Breakfast Press Conference with the Tacloban Media which will be moderated by PIA Director Olive Tiu.
Senator Honasan will deliver a message that revolves around this year's convention theme "Dangal at Paninindigan Tungo Sa Matibay at Matatag na Kapatiran."
Senator Honasan was appointed as the National Chairman/President in a general assembly in Metro Manila on March 1999 where the founders agreed to form the PHILIPPINE GUARDIANS BROTHERHOOD INC. (PGBI) as the umbrella organization in order to unify all Guardians in the country and abroad.
The Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Incorporated was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on June 26, 2000 with SEC Registration No. A200008885 duly signed by Sonia M. Ballo, Director of the Corporate and Legal Department of the SEC.
Other government dignitaries who are scheduled to give their message during the Opening Ceremonies at 9:00 o'clock in the morning are Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, Congressman Martin Romualdez and Leyte Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla.
