New PSRs installed at Davao RDC

Davao City (20 October) -- At least twelve (12) individuals have been confirmed and installed as new members in the Regional Development Council as the council conducts its reorganization meeting. Public Sector Representative's (PSR's) constituted a 25 % of its total members.

The newly installed members of the council represent the private sector that comes from the business and civil society; they will also have their 3 years term in the council from 2007 to 2010.

Public Sector Representatives (PSR's) attended the Orientation Forum conducted by the Council to abreast them on the Davao Region's current thrusts and priorities and its long-term framework for development.

They have been made aware of their responsibilities and tasks as representatives of the Council during yesterday's (October 18) forum at the Garden Oases Restaurant, Davao City.

The forum also provided venue for the new PSR's to discuss their concerns as regional development partners advocating the needs and capacities of the region's non-government sector. (PIA-XI) [top]
