Tublay local civil registry office adjudged RP's most outstanding

TUBLAY, Benguet (29 October) -- The Municipal Civil Registry of Tublay was awarded as one of the outstanding Local Civil Registry Offices nationwide in the extra small category level.
Mayor Ruben Paoad announced this in a forum held recently. Tublay bagged seventh place besting 712 municipalities nationwide adjudged by the National Statistics Office.
Local Civil Registrar Elyn Ruth Dino said their municipality is the only entry for the Cordillera Region. She added that one of the criteria of NSO awards is based on the number of documents registered in a year. It is likewise based on the performance of regular duties and programs and projects of civil registration implemented.
Dino said there were also other awards garnered by the municipality. NSO awarded the town as top regional performer for years 2003 and 2005.
Last year, the Civil Service Commission – Cordillera Administrative Region (CSC CAR) also recognized Tublay as a performer of the region.
The rest of the towns who won the extra small category were as follows: 1st and 2nd placers were reaped by Las Nieves and Kitcharo in Agusan Del Norte; 3rd place, Leon T.postigo, Zamboanga Del Norte; 4th place, Bangui, Ilocos Norte; 5th place, Padre Burgos, Quezon; 6th place, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte; 8th place, Tubay, Aguzan Del Norte; 9th place, Nagtipunan, Quirino; and 10th place, General Luna, Quezon.
