Davao Oriental gov bares new approach in state-of-governance report

Davao City (21 November) -- The new approach embraced by Davao Oriental governor Corazon Malanyaon will be bared today in her state of local governance report at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall.

In an interview, the new provincial chief executive stressed the priority concerns of her administration that includes the strengthening of health services, improving literacy and malnutrition, focusing on infrastructure development, and strengthening the local tourism industry in Davao Oriental.

These may be the major priority areas cited by the governor, but in her local governance report, she will disclose the province's banner approach in reaching the targets on these cited areas.

It is in this occasion that Malanyaon will disclose the One Team One Province approach or strategy in targeting development in Davao Oriental.

The governor pledged to unite all the local government units, national government agencies, the business sector, as well as all the sectors in the community to work on one united goal as this was seen as the solution to the problems in the province.

Expected personalities in the event are DILG regional director Rodolfo Razul and the various local officials in the province.

The different officials in the province decided to be guided by the vision "One Smile, One Heart, and One Mind" for the province. (PIA XI) [top]
