Capiz, Roxas execs invite tourists to Sinadya sa Halaran

ROXAS CITY (1 December) -- Capiz Gov. Victor Tanco, Sr. and Roxas City Mayor Vicente Bermejo are upbeat about Dec. 5-8, 2007, as it is Sinadya sa Halaran festival time in the seafood capital of the Philippines.

"Dali sa Capiz!" enthusiastically remarked Tanco in his invitation to Capiceņos and visitors alike.

Bermejo, for his part, warmly said: "Mabuhay ang Capiz! Sulong Sinadya sa Halaran 2007!" as he also opened the city's doors for the festival, Capiz's premier tourism come-on.

The festival depicts the Capiceņos cultural heritage, way of life and their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. whose feast on Dec. 8 is the peak of the celebration.

Cultural events, sports competitions, inuaguration of development projects are foremost in the list of activities that will highlight the affair. (PIA) [top]
