DBP offers scholarship for poor deserving students
Davao City (22 January) -- The Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) is now offering free college education to poor but promising high school students who wish to pursue a career in Nursing. Thru the program DBP Endowment for Education Program (DEEP) - Nursing, qualified scholars will be provided with financial support for their tuition and other school expenses.
Applicants to the program should be a good moral character, with an annual family income of not more than P150,000 and recommended by the High school principal as among the upper 20% graduating class.
Requirement for application are: 1) formal letter expressing interest to participate and abide with the DBP DEEP-Nursing program guidelines and policies; 2) recommendation letter from the High school principal confirming the good moral character and certifying that applicant belongs to the upper 20% of the graduating class, and 3) Income Tax Return or proof of family income. Only those with the above requirements shall be entertained by the Screening Committee. Deadline for acceptance of application shall be Monday, 28 January 2008.
