New set of officers expected to strengthen LCCI further
Tacloban City (February 6) -- The induction of the new set of officers of the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to bring new vigor and enthusiasm to the members of the prominent business organization in Leyte.
The new set of officers of the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry is scheduled to be inducted into office on February 9, 2008, at 6:30 in the evening at the Don Joseph Pavillon of the Leyte Park Hotel in Tacloban City.
Outgoing President Orlan Uy informed that former Vice President Samuel Tiu will now be the President after he was elected by the members during the election meeting in December.
Mr. Uy added that Mr. Willy Julio will be inducted as the Vice President for External Affairs, while Mr. Henry Weechee is the Vice President for SME.
Expected to induct the new set of officers is Mr. Jose T. Ng, the vice president for Visayas of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He will be introduced by Engr. Junie Andrade, Area Governor of PCCI.
Invited to give their respective messages are Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, PAGCOR Vice President Remedios L. Petilla, Leyte Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla and Hon. Victor Domingo, Presidential Assistant for Eastern Visayas.
The Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a well known active partner of Government in the development of the business sector in Leyte, the enhancement and strengthening of Small and Medium Industries which is a national government thrust, in the promotion of business opportunities in the province of Leyte and in other activities and undertakings of the Local Government Units in Leyte.
The Leyte Chamber in the past year, made waves with the conduct of the first Province of Leyte Business Month and the holding of the Housing Fair in December, among many others. (PIA 8) [top]
