OPAPP develops comprehensive business system

Davao City (8 February) -- The Office of Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) is developing a comprehensive business system that will help its office attain an effective and efficient management and delivery of core services.
The project is supported by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) and the Philippines-Australia Human Resources Development Facility (PAHRDF) that facilitated series of short-term training courses and local benchmarking of various best practices and approaches.
Presidential Peace Adviser Secretary Jesus Dureza in a statement said the new business system also fulfills their vision to have a dynamic, more productive, and professional Peace Process office.
The comprehensive development features systems has a centralized database and intranet content management.
He said it will strengthen OPAPP personnel and staff with the necessary tools for an effective overall system for Knowledge Management and Integration (KMI).
The database system will offer several functionalities that will facilitate knowledge sharing within the organization, help employees easy access and use of the information technology tool.
The Centralized OPAPP Database System can now have a low-cost yet easy-to-use access tool to information systems and applications beneficial to the institution, its personnel and clients.
It is a user-friendly and cost-effective means of achieving organizational interconnection through document tracking, directory management, program and project management system, geographic mapping and information, human resources welfare and well-being, procurement and inventory, and public service accounting.
