Feature: 2008 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees

Davao City (28 February) -- Civil Service Commission (CSC) XI Director 1V, Annabelle B. Rosell said CSC has started its 2008 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees in line with the Commission's advocacy to recognize and reward exemplars in public service.

The entire bureaucracy is encouraged to participate by sending nominations and have their respective flyers recognized. Said nominations will represent the agency's best high flyers and exemplars worth recognizing and emulating, Director Rosell said.

There is no limit to the number of nominations to be submitted and we hope to receive them on or before March 31, 2008, she said.

A memorandum circular signed by CSC chairperson Karina Constantino-David was addressed to all heads of constitutional bodies; departments, bureaus and agencies of national government; local government units; government-owned or controlled corporations; and state colleges and universities with the proper guidelines for the 2008 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees.

The Search includes: Dangal ng Bayan Award; Presidential or Lingkod Award and the CSC or Pagasa Award, the premier and most esteemed recognitions being conferred to worthy public servants in the annual nationwide quest.
