NSO XI Director Jaime S. Paller said their Office will issue renewal or new accreditation upon receipt of any implementing rules and regulations (IRR) from the central office.
At present, NSO regional office has advised individuals or groups to refrain from requesting for accreditation.
Certified travel agencies with previous accreditation by the NSO may retain its certification but NSO regional office do not approve any new accreditation anymore.
NSO client (even those coming from outside Davao City) are most welcome in coming to NSO regional office to get what they need in as far as birth registration and authentication; certificate of non-marriage (Cenomar); death certificate; and other services made available by NSO.
In another development, Director Paller said that "we are trying our best to accommodate all clients coming from various parts of Mindanao and decongest the area to give our clients the comfort as they are waiting for their documents."
As of now, we are serving almost half of the clients throughout Mindanao region as far as those coming from Agusan, Cotabato region, Lanao and Iligan, he said.
We have put in places additional bigger exhaust electric fans inside the Serbilis Center to avoid discomfort among our clients, he further said.
NSO Serbilis Center has been serving an average of about 2,200 to 2,500 clients everyday while our computer and statistic units are only good for 1,500 applicants. However, we are trying hard to serve all clients and provide necessary documents they need, he said. (PIA) [top]
