Davao City (22 July) -- A football coach from Davao City today gets the distinction of having to mentor the Philippine National U-19 Women's Football Team, a congratulatory note from Davao Football Association (DFA) secretary-General Erwin Protacio announced the appointment today.
Coach Albert Ryan Lim got his appointment as head coach of the ladies national team from no less than Sr. Juan Cutillas, Technical Director of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).
PFF president Jose Mari Martinez made the confirmation of the appointment in a letter to coach Lim coursed through the Davao FA.
Lim's appointment affirmed PFF's strong recognition of the talents of Davao coaches and their ability to unite and prepare a team for national and international tournaments, DFA secretary-general Protacio said.
This is part of the strategy implemented by the new PFF leadership to get a much broader participation of the different Football Associations and maximize the use of talents on a nationwide scale, Protacio said. (PIA XI) [top]
