"Labanan ang Kahirapan-Tindahan Natin" gab held
Davao City (25 July) -- Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) regional director Ester Acebedo-Versoza and NFA Assistant Director Dianne Silva led the Tindahan Natin Consultation and Coordinative meeting held recently at Regency Inn.
Participants to the said meeting were DSWD Division Chiefs and Project Development Officers; City and Provincial Social Welfare Officers; and NFA Provincial Managers, Senior Enforcement and Inspection Officers, and Licensing Officers.
Director Acebedo-Versoza in her message stressed the support of NFA in the implementation of Tindahan Natin especially during the rice supply gap period.
DSWD focal person for livelihood Arlene L. Morpus said the group agreed to increase weekly rice allocation to 28 in Davao City and Davao Sur, 30 in Davao Norte, and 40 in Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley. However, she said increase of allocation will depend on the allocation plan of respective NFA provincial branches.
Morpus said the group also agreed to fast tract accreditation of 172 pending endorsed operators of Tindahan Natin throughout the region. While the Family Acces Card will be implemented upon receipt of guidelines and directive from DSWD Central Office, Morpus added. (DSWD/degsduron) [top]
