DOST offers engineering graduate scholarships

Davao City (14 August) -- The Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) Human Resource Development (HRD) program in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will implement a graduate scholarship program for priority engineering courses and related fields.
The program will be implemented effective school year 2008-2009 through the Science Education Institute (SEI), according to DOST OIC Eduardo Tesorero.
The scholarship is in the form of local master's and PhD scholarships. ERDT scholarship program is made possible through the funding support from President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo aimed at upgrading the qualifications of practicing engineers and develop a culture of R&D in the field of engineering.
Study placement includes Ateneo de Manila University, Central Luzon State University, De La Salle University, Mapua Institute of Technology, Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology, University of the Philippines Diliman, and the University of San Carlos.
Priority courses are engineering courses and related fields.
