Leyte Business Month features free business seminars

Tacloban City (October 9) -- In connection with the 2nd Leyte Province Business Month celebration this October, the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with various government agencies, is conducting various seminars that is very useful to the budding entrepreneurs and the general public as a whole.

Mr.. Orlando Uy, past LCCI president and chairman of the 2nd Leyte Province Business Month informed that for the investors and statisticians, the Data Appreciation Seminar was conducted on October 8 from 9:00 o'clock in the morning to 12:00 o'clock noon, at the Seminar Room 2 of the People's Center.

In partnership with the Department of Tourism, the LCCI conducted the Tourism Appreciation Course from 1:00 o'clock to 5:00 o'clock in the afternoon of October 8.

In addition, on October 10-11, a New Business Creation Course will be conducted at the Seminar Room 1 of the People's Center for OTOP producers and other individuals who are interested in starting their own business.

Moreover, a Product Packaging and Labeling Seminar will be conducted on October 10 to 11 at Seminar Room 2 of the People's Center for the benefit of the just starting entrepreneurs, food processors and producers.

Mr. Uy reiterated his invitation to the local producers who are into food and agri-processing to take advantage of these seminars as the participation in the seminar is free of charge to include seminar materials and other seminar paraphernalia.

The seminars will be of good use to the local producers and starting entrepreneurs in advancing their business, Mr. Uy said.

The prospective participants must signify their intention to participate in the seminars so that the necessary reservations for them could be made.

The Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry which is the organizer and sponsor of the seminars, is limiting the number of participants to at most 30 pax on a first come first serve basis.

In a tangible display of partnership between the government and the private sector in order to bring about change and development in society, the Leyte Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the province of Leyte take the lead in planning and implementing activities for the 2nd Leyte Province Business Month.
