Davao City (15 October) -- More than 500 career executive service officers are in Davao City for the 7th National Conference at the Apo View Hotel.
Of the 1,000 CESO officers nationwide, about half of the said number committed to participate in this year's conference.
Association of Regional Executives of National Agencies (ARENA XI) president Rodolfo Razul announced in Monday's Kapehan sa Dabaw that the welfare and benefits of career executives would top the list of topics to be discussed in the event.
Vice President Noli de Castro is expected to give a keynote address to the career executive officers.
Career Executive Service Board executive director Atty Maria Anthonette Allones will provide the updates on CESB as well as its policies and programs.
ARENA XI Vice President Achilles Bravo bared that the group would also push for the adequate compensation for government officials especially those holding career positions.
He announced that the government would be implementing salary standardization that would increase the compensation of the employees in four phases starting next year.
That includes the salary of those holding supervisory positions who are getting salaries way lower than those chief executive officers in private companies. (PIA) [top]
