NAPC to hold microfinancing roadshow, seminar in Baguio

Baguio City (25 October) -- The National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC), through the Microfinance Unit (MFU), will hold back to back activities, a Roadshow "Call for Proposal" on October 29 and a Provincial Training Seminar for Financial Literacy Trainers Program on October 30-31 at the Veniz Hotel, Baguio City.
The events are part of NAPC's works towards the development of an enabling policy environment for the micro-finance industry and ensures that microfinance reach the target clientele - the poor.
The Roadshow "Call for Proposal" for Peoples Development Trust Fund (PDTF) will be held in partnership with the People's Credit and Finance Corporation (PCFC). The event will showcase presentations of NAPC and PCFC programs and an overview of PDTF. It will also include an open forum and a workshop on documentary requirements.
On the other hand, the Provincial Training Seminar for Financial Literacy Trainer' Program will tackle Microfinance Concepts and Practices, Role and Responsibilities of Clients in Microfinance, Budgeting and Planning, Savings and Investment, Business Development Services and Tips in Improving Business and Consumer Protection.
