Noted author and speaker talks on "Leading Through Difficult Times"

Davao City (14 November) -- The Planters Development Bank has organized a forum that delved on management topics relevant to Filipino entrepreneurs in growing their businesses.

The Planterbanks which main clients are Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) which provides not just banking products and services but also tools that will help improve their management capabilities.

The bank's SME Speaker Series is handled by business trainer, author and celebrated motivational speaker Francis J. Kong who talked on "Leading Through Difficult Times".

Kong's lecture covered aspects that equipped entrepreneurs with the knowledge to easily maneuver and safeguard their businesses amidst an ever changing economic terrain.

Kong said there are many kinds of leadership that includes first level to permission leadership, productive level leadership, and people development leadership, among others.

"But to me the servant leadership is the most ideal because people see their leader doing even the smallest job," he said.

This he said is leadership by example.

He also stressed that when couple runs their business both must work together supporting each other strength and weaknesses.

He said they should stick to their core value, and in times of crisis they would know their people by the way they handle the situation.

Meanwhile, he said in business, your sales team is not your entire organization but your entire organization is your sales team.

He reminded the participants that there is no maintenance in business as well as in our career.

The SME Speakers Series were held in Cebu, Pampanga, Metro Manila and Calamba. The activity is set to conduct another circuit of forum on management topics next year, visiting key cities around the country.

The activity adds a unique dimension to the bank's growing portfolio of innovations that aim to enable entrepreneurs.
