Kalinga to hold resource management orientation
Tabuk City (22 November) -- Kalinga Governor Floydelia R. Diasen has directed all local officials, department heads, national line agency heads and all concerned government employees to attend a the one-day orientation seminar on Resource Management to be held on November 29 this year at the Davidson Hotel of Tabuk.
In a memorandum, the governor stated that this undertaking is in support to the national government's efforts to mitigate the impact of the global economic crisis in government offices.
"This will prepare them to be effective and efficient resource managers in spite of limited resource managers and be productive in their workplace," she said through the memorandum.
As recalled, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo even before the on-set of the global economic recession had been keen in the implementation of her economic measures to fight poverty towards a more stable economy by 2010. This move had help cushion the country from the effects of the global economic slowdown.
To further prepare the country, the President has directed her economic team "to draw up a contingency plan to manage inflationary pressures and ensure that the world financial crisis will not create additional burdens on the ordinary Filipinos."
Rationalization plan and economic measures maximizing sources in government agencies were likewise implemented and on-going to get the most out of government funds to improve the delivery of government services to the people. (ggd/PIA-Kalinga) [top]
