New patrol cars for Laguna PNP

Calamba, Laguna (18 February) -- The Laguna Police Provincial Office (LPPO) based in the capital town Sta Cruz has boosted its capabilities in ensuring peace and order in the province of Laguna as it receives ten (10) new patrol vehicles from the Philippines National Police (PNP)

This was held during the recent PNP day which was graced by Laguna Gov. Teresita "Ningning" S. Lazaro, and 3rd district Board Member Rey Paras who was a former policeman. During the ceremonies which was held at the LPPO in Brgy. Bagumbayan, Gov. Lazaro paid tribute to the exemplary performance of the Laguna policemen in their line of duty. She also gave commendation certificates to them as she thanked the LPPO leadership headed by PSupt. Manolito Labador.

She further stressed her determination in maintaining the peace and order situation in the province since it is vital to the growth and development of the province. "As the prime tourists and investment destination in the country, it is crucial that the PNP is ready and equipped to address all sorts of challenges", Lazaro said.

Among the ten (10) vehicles, seven (7) of these were Toyota Innova which were turned over to the municipal and city stations of Bay, Cabuyao, Pakil, Liliw, San Pablo City, Sta Rosa City, and Calamba City. The remaining three (3) which were Toyota Hi-Lux were given to the municipal stations of Pila, Kalayaan and Majayjay. (PIO/pia) [top]
