Vigan officials congratulate new IBF light flyweight boxing champ Brian Viloria

Vigan City (29 April) -- Officials of this world's heritage city led by Mayor Eva Marie Singson – Medina expressed their warmest congratulation to the newly-titled IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria during his short visit here.
Viloria, who was an adopted son of Vigan City, was welcomed by former City Mayor Ferdinand C. Medina at Vigan's Mindoro Domestic Airport on board a private plane, courtesy of Deputy National Security Adviser Luis Chavit Singson.
The visit of Viloria in Ilocos was informed one day after his sentional Round 11 KO win over IBF light flyweight Champ Ulisses Solis in a title fight at Araneta Colliseum last Sunday. Brian, who was the former WBC light flyweight champ with a popular monicker: 'The Hawaiian Punch,' improved a boxing record of 25-2-0 (win – loss) with 15 KO's.
"I'm here in Ilocos Sur to visit my relatives and my kababayans and to have some sort of relaxation before leaving for Hawaii in preparation for my next fight," Viloria told to local media.
Viloria, whose parents were native, from Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, disclosed that he is eyeing for a unification fight to the other world champions in the light flyweight divisions.
In a related development, local officials from Cabugao, Ilocos Sur – the home town of Brian's girlfriend Erica Navarro, are also making a resolution declaring Viloria as adopted son of the town.
Meanwhile, the kins of boxing Champ Viloria expressed their elation over latter's capures on the IBF Light Flyweight crown.
Rodel Viloria, Brian's uncle, told that he didn't expect that his nephew won the fight via knockout considering that Solis was an excellent fighter.
