Army condemns NPA killing of innocent farmer
Camp Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City (24 October) -- The Army has condemned the recent killing of a farmer in Boston, Davao Oriental by the death squad of the New People's Army (NPA) "in yet another wave of senseless, malicious and cruel coercion of our people in the countryside," according to Army officials here.
Army officials said: "The recent murder of Silvano delas Alas, a 50-year-old farmer and an innocent victim of the dreaded NPA hit squad, shows the inhuman, unlawful and ungodly nature of this organization that pester on the lifeblood of the helpless people who cannot protect themselves from the fangs and claws of these terrorists."
