Gov. Uy wishes a peaceful Comval, election
Davao City (5 January) -- "I wish for a peaceful election this year and peace in Comval," Comval Gov. Arturo "Chiongkee" Uy said speaking before the first convocation this year at the provincial capitol on January 4. Gov. Uy also wishes for the mining industry to boom this year with Pamintaran in Maragusan, raking in high revenues in just two months of its operation.
All in all, the governor said the past year was a good year despite some tragedies that befell the province. "What's important is we remained strong and united and we are able to rise up with the challenges of the times," he said. Likewise, many accomplishments have also been achieved last year for health and nutrition, agriculture and other special programs.
As observed since the governor's administration, the first day of work this year at the capitol is started with a holy mass and will have a monthly mass thereafter. (CIO Tagum) [top]
