ComVal hospital income up by 152.66% in 2009

Compostela Valley (26 January) -- Based on the Statement of Hospital Collection from the Provincial Treasurers Office dated January 11, 2010, income of the four hospitals, namely, Montevista, Pantukan, Maragusan, and Laak raised up to 152.66% last year.

Based on the report, hospital income went up by 52.66 percent or closer to 22 million pesos last 2009 compared to 14 million income last 2008. It also raised by 425.66% or more than 16.6 million compared to 2007 which income was 5 million pesos only. Record shows that compared to 2006 income, it increases up to 18 million pesos by 2009 wherein the four hospitals (Montevista, Maragusan, Pantukan, Laak) income is only 4 million pesos in one year.

According to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Renato B. Basan0es, one of the reasons of this development is the trust of the people and the genuine effort of Governor Arturo T. Uy in upgrading the health services of the province especially the hospital building and facilities for the benefit and comfort of all patients.

Health care providers such as the doctors, nurses, hospital staff and other personnel with their work ethics and dedication is also one of the contributing factors in the progress of COMVAL Hospitals. Governor Uy always sees to it that hospitals are equipped with all the necessary requirements to address the health needs of all COMVALENYOS. (Inday M./IDS Comval) [top]
