CSC launches ComVal Journal second issue
Compostela Valley (30 January) -- The 2nd issue of CSC COMVAL Journal was successfully launched last January 26, 2010 at the 4th floor of the Provincial Capitol. Gracing the launching were representatives from different sectors (academe, government employees, media, and non-government organizations representatives) including the CSC XI Regional Director Annabelle B. Rosell.
Featured in the 2nd issue of the CSC Journal were the outstanding deeds of several government workers who had done so much beyond the call of duty. The Civil Service Commission (CSC)-Comval field office Director Richard T. Ortiz brand them as the unsung heroes in the government service. It also showcased their accomplishments and community service during the last semester of 2009 and narrated the inspiring and untold stories of Compostela Valley.
Among those who received recognition were Imelda Macallay, former Teacher I and now Head Teacher II of Barabat Elementary School in Cagan Valley of Barangay Andap, New Bataan. She had been patiently teaching pupils since 1981 were she has to walked one day just to educate children in their area. Another honored government worker during the activity is Gideon Ranido, Driver II of TESDA COMVAL. Prior to the recognition received by Ranido, he had been the agency's model employee last 2007 and 1st runner up model employee at the National level of the same year.
Moreover, CSC Journal's vision in releasing said publication is to provide updates and information of the said office. (Inday Manugas-IDS Comval) [top]
