CSC-7 announces search for 2010 outstanding public officials and employees
Cebu City (15 February) -- The Civil Service Commission (CSC-7) announces the nationwide search for the ‘2010 Outstanding Public Officials and Employees’ to recognize deserving government workers in their performance of public duties and dispensing public services.
Three award categories are open namely the Lingkod Bayan Award, the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees Award or the Dangal ng Bayan Award and the CSC Pag-asa Award.
Those who possess qualifications deserving of recognition can nominate such persons as the CSC-7 encourages agencies to start reviewing the performance of officials and employees and send in their nominations to CSC-7 Office or its provincial offices.
April 15 is the final deadline for the acceptance of nominations while there is no limit to the number of nominees.
The search is in line with the CSC’s advocacy in promoting a culture of excellence by recognizing and rewarding these public exemplars either for outstanding performance, contribution and achievements or for consistent manifestation of exemplary ethical behavior or for giving pride and glory to the government service for valiantly carrying out their duties with utmost dedication despite odds, and for those who thrive integrity in the midst of temptation.
A cash prize of P100,000 plus automatic promotion and other incentives coming from no less than Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo await winners of both the Lingkod Bayan and Dangal ng Bayan Awardees.
The CSC Pag-asa Awardees on the other hand, will receive P50,000 in cash, a gold gilded medallion and a plaque of citation.
Awarding rites for this year’s 2010 winners will serve as the centerpiece of the celebration of the 110th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary to be held in September.
Nomination forms and the enhanced information guidelines may be secured at any CSC offices nationwide or downloaded at the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph.
