Musikahan Himig Handog winners named

Davao City (25 February) -- Held on February 23, two categories of the Himig Handog of Musikahan Festival 2010 has been presented, College category of 17 years old above and LGU/Church Based Category of 20 years old above.

Not exceeding 25 singers, competing with one conductor and an accompaniment, they have rendered one side piece and one contest piece provided by the organizer of Music Division of the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

College Category Champion went to UM Tagum College Harmonic Chorale winning P50,000. The second placer was USEP Harmonica Polifinica Chorale of Davao del Sur taking home P30,000. Carillon Ateneo Glee Club of Davao City bags P20,000 as third placer.

In the LGU and Church Category, the Capitol Minstrels Choir of Compostela Valley Province gets P40,000 as Champion. The Dominican Choir Volunteers of General Santos City wins second getting P30,000 while Tagum Center of Seventh Day Adventist Church has P20,000 as third placer. (CROMWELL-CIO Tagum) [top]
