Police secures PCOS machine arrival in Antique
San Jose, Antique (4 May) -- In line with the mandate to assure the conduct of National and Local Election this May 10, 2010, personnel of the Antique Police Provincial Office through the Antique Police Provincial Management Company secured the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOs) machine arrival here on Monday morning.
A total of six hundred fifty six (656) PCOs machine were escorted and safely arrived to its main hub. Along with the arrival of the machines are election paraphernalia to include 656 Ballot boxes, 656 battery packs, 19 sets of CCS kit and 19 mini gensets.
"With barely one week before election, we are focusing on the security of poll equipment and other paraphernalia" said Provincial Director, Pssupt Ruperto T Floro.
He added that security during the transfer of PCOs machines to sub-hubs will be tight. "We will be vigilant and we are prepared to combat any atrocities that could hamper the conduct of Election" he stressed. (PNP/PIA) [top]
