Photography workshop set on May 22-23 in Davao City

Davao City (20 May) -- Writer/artist/photographer Hugo D. Yonzon III will be in Davao City to train photography neophytes/enthusiasts in a two-day lecture-workshop set on May 22-23.
The workshop, which will be held at the Nazareth Retreat House in Matina, is open to interested individuals "who wish to learn basic, working knowledge in photography, with emphasis on digital technology."
A minimal amount of P1,000.00 will be charged as registration fee from each participant. Participants must bring with them a camera, preferably digital SLR.
On May 22, Yonzon will provide the following topics: basic Information on the science and art of photography; knowing your digital camera; aesthetics and workshops on portrait/people photography using available light.
The second day (May 23) will focus on workshops and critiquing of results. The finale pointers will be on how to unleash/sustain creative energies on photography.
Aside from being a veteran photographer, Yonzon is also a cartoonist who made way to the "comeback of Pinoy's all time favorite cartoon character "Darna"." He is also graphic designer, publisher, TV director and a media strategist.
Yonzon is currently the director of Public Affairs Staff of the Department of Agrarian Reform and president of the Creative Media Professionals Guild of Asia and the Pacific (CMPGAP).
His other affiliation is with the Philippine International Cartoons, Comics and Animation as executive director. PICCA "runs the biggest festival in creative content that includes exhibits, contests, talks, film showings, book launches, trade and marketing."
