Newly full-pledged DPWH-XI officials take oath

Davao City (29 May) -- Regional Director Osop L. Ali of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region XI administered on Wednesday (May 26), the oath taking of three officials who are now holding permanent positions in the said agency.

From being Officer-in-Charge District Engineer, Lorna T. Ricardo is now full-pledged district engineer of the Davao City Engineering Office.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Calansingin Tiu of Mati City Engineering Office is now full-pledged Assistant District Engineer (ADE), and Engineer Rowena P. Jamito who heads the Maintenance Division, DPWH regional office is now a full-pledged Division Chief.

Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Operations Engr. Rey Tamayo and ARD for Maintenance Engr. Danny Versola witnessed the oath taking.

In an interview, Director Ali said "we have instituted reforms and have these permanent positions filled up for the deserving personnel to give them a chance to grow and make our agency, the DPWH, a more responsive and responsible department of the government."

"We are public servants and we are here to deliver a more efficient and effective physical network of roads, bridges, and infrastructure that will connect communities geared towards speeding up socio-economic development in our areas of responsibility," he said.

Director Ali challenged his officials and employees to be "catalysts of development and help our government in solving its woes instead of adding burdens to its problems." (PIA XI/Rose Palacio) [top]
